High Spirits

It was a total departure from the style she was used to playing but Dani learned that Violin music did not have to be slow and ponderous.. it  could be wild and free, or energetic like her beloved fiddle music.. the tutor that her father hired was truly a musical genious..rather than limiting her to sitting while she played, he let her express herself through movement. Her father wanted her to polish her playing ,and the tutor after hearing her play,told him that she had exceeded the basics, and that was mostly by ear, It only took her three run throughs of a tune,and she picked the melody up ,playing it back to him pitch perfect.

The improvisations however, was a challenge .. something at first she dreaded but soon enjoyed later on ,once she got over her fear of stumbling. It was a test of her ability to think fast on her feet,and learn to improvise rather than fall back on memorized pieces., giving her more freedom to experiment.
